How to transition your skincare routine into Spring with 5 products
Here in London has been so warm in the last few days. The Winter is officially behind us and so do the crisp air and cold winds. I love the blooms in the local park and the floral scents on the way to work. Spring is my favourite time of the year. Everything comes back to life, people seem happier and more inspired than ever. spring skincare tips
As we stepped into the warmer days, I decided to Spring clean my beauty and makeup stash. Therefore I switched the deep toned lipsticks with light pink shades. On my nails I wear mainly pastel or neutral shades. So… my skin needed some attention too. I know that beautiful skin is essential for making the most of my looks. Without taking care of my skin, my makeup appears patchy or doesn’t last as long. With this being said, choosing the right skincare for each season is essential for achieving beautiful complexion.
Spring Skincare Tips For Healthy Glowing Skin
During Winter my skin becomes dry and sensitive. I need to use deep hydrating serums and layer them with heavy moisturisers. The good news is that I don’t have to put up with this anymore. To me, Spring is all about glow and youthful looking skin. The key factor is finding the balance in water and oil in my skin. Spring is like a new start for me… I focus on healthier diet and drinking plenty of water. When it comes to my skincare routine, I reach out for lighter but still very hydrating serums. Moisturiser with SPF is a must have during warmer days as well as gentle exfoliator for healthy glow. spring skincare tips
I really like the whole concept behind natural beauty. Beauty Kitchen Everlasting Radiance Cleansing Gel* is made in the UK with 100% natural ingredients. This face gel is very gentle on the skin and I only need one pump to clean my entire face. It contains seahorse plankton, amino acids, Omega-3 vitamins A, D, E and K, phospholipids and glycolipids. Beauty Kitchen face gel deep cleanses my skin and it calms down any irritations. It has a delicate scent and it is great face wash for all skin types.
Skin Chemist Bee Venom Facial Serum* is my alternative to Nude Progenius Omega Treatments, which I was using in Winter. Bee Venom Facial Serum is extremely lightweight and it instantly sinks into the skin. It contains Bee Venom which aims to plump the skin and boost natural collagen levels; Hyaluronic Acid increases the moisture in the skin and Tego Cosmo C250 brightens and even skin tone. I can definitely say that my skin looks radiant and youthful looking after I apply the serum. It is not as moisturising as I wish but it is amazing for normal | oily skin type. spring skincare tips
A must have moisturiser for Spring |Summer is Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily UV Defence with SPF 50. I love this moisturiser to bits. It is very lightweight and it does not leave a white canvas on my skin, which most of high SPF moisturisers tend to do. It sinks into the skin very quickly and seamlessly creating great base for my makeup. Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily moisturiser does not have any scent which is great if you have sensitive skin. This moisturiser is the perfect all year round face product and essential skincare treat especially in Spring and Summer. spring skincare tipsHow to transition your skincare routine into Spring and Summer/ tips and product recommendations.Click To Tweet
For people with dry | sensitive skin like myself, using exfoliator can be challenging sometimes. I always reach for very gentle exfoliators which does not irritate my skin. My go-to exfoliator was Kiehl’s Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion until I tried DermaTx Brighten Microdermabrasion System*. The system comes with two brushes, one for cleansing and one for exfoliating your skin. It also comes with Microderm abrasion cream which is designed to gently exfoliate and give your skin radiant glow.
Brighten Microdermabrasion Cream contains professional grade corundum crystals, as used in salon microdermabrasion treatments for exceptional skin resurfacing results.
I used Brighten Microdermabrasion System twice this week and it made my skin incredibly smooth and soft after the first use. The product itself was very gentle on my skin and it instantly remove the dead skin cells leaving my skin smooth and youthful. For 2 minutes each time the foam applicator and the Brighten abrasion cream revived my dull skin back to life. The cream contains microdermabrasion crystals which polishes and instantly brightens my complexion. The vitamin A exfoliates the skin to help reduce visible signs of photo-ageing. The system has won Beauty Awards 2015 and I highly recommend it if you want to achieve radiant and healthy glowing skin. spring skincare tips
p.s. I just wish if the system comes with a lid to keep the applicator clean and dust-free at all times.
Don’t forget your body
The Body Shop body creams do miracles to my dry skin. I love how hydrating and moisturising they are, leaving my skin super soft and smooth. spring skincare tips
I have tried so many body butters in the past, high-end and more affordable, but The Body Shop body creams are by far the best I have ever come across.
Therefore I have been using the new Almond Milk & Honey Soothing and Restoring Body Butter for couple of weeks. It smells divine and it is the perfect product for Spring/ Summer. However if I get bored of using the same scent, I usually go through my stash and switch to a different one. Indian Night Jasmine have been an alternative for those kinda days. spring skincare tips
