My Top Beauty Products I loved in September /2015
Top Beauty Products I have been using throughout September
Another month went by and this means is time for me to share my top beauty products (because it is good to share, right? That’s what my mum told me as a child 🙂 ) . I picked up some makeup products as well as some hair care products that i have been reaching for throughout the month of September.
Hair: Bumble and bumble Sunday Shampoo is a deep cleans shampoo, which is supposed to be used only ones a week. It is like a detox mask, but for your hair. It get rid of all product buildup in your hair and it helps maintaining healthy scalp. I really like it! My hair does not get as greasy as it used to and on the other side washing it not as often prevent my hair from damaging. I would just say that this shampoo is slightly drying, so i always use a mask afterwords. It does not have any smell and it is not suitable for colour treated hair.
John Frieda Salon Shape Hot Air Brush is an amazing hair styling tool. You can create a easy blow dry effect at home. This is a great tool if you want to add volume to thin hair or if you simply like to create volumize hair. I have been always struggling to blowdry my hair with normal brush and a hair drier and when i saw this tool i knew my problem is solved. It is a rotating brush and drier in one and it is so easy to use. I basically dry my hair with my hair dryer for a minute or two just that it is not too wet and than i style it with the John Frieda brush. It can rotate left or right to suit your preferences. It also have two heat setting. It is amazing and it gives my fine hair nice volume.
Brows: I really enjoy doing my eye brows recently. I bought this spoolie brush by Louise Young last month and i love it! It is a brush, which helps you comb through mascara, but i use it for my eye brows and it does a great job. I use Urban Decay Brow Box in Brown Sugar to fill in and define my eye brows. Than i use the spoolie to brush through my brows. This brush takes the excess of the powder and makes my brows very natural looking. I have been using Urban Decay Brow Box for years now and it is great product. It comes in two shades and a wax to help you set the powder. It is very travel friendly, as you have all you need for a brow kit. The brow box also has a tiny brush and a tweezers. Other beauty favourite i discovered last month is Maybelline Brow Drama in transparent. It is a sculpting brow mascara and i use it to set my brows in place. It is great value for money. The only issue i had is that i had to cut the end of the spoolie, as it was very rounded and big and it didn’t apply as much products as i needed. But after cutting it and removing the rounded edge it works great for me.
Eyes: The eye shadow combo i have been using a lot last month is Burberry eye colour in No. 201 Rose Pink and No. 102 in Pale Barley. Burberry eye shadows are one of my favourite! They are extremely buttery and pigmented. They blend so easily and last all they long. Burberry makeup is very versatile. The company makes their makeup products buildable and the eye shadows can be used wet or dry. So this means that the foundation can be worn sheer or it can be built to full coverage, as well as their lipsticks and cream eye shadows. The packaging is awesome… i just can’t rave enough about their eye shadows. I have a full review of both of the eye shadows and some more photos and swatches. So if you are interested you can click here for Rose Pink No. 201 and here for Pale Barley No. 102 🙂 .
Lips: Two lippies i have been loving throughout September… BUXOM Lip Gloss in Sandy is a gorgeous pale pink. Unfortunately Buxom lip glosses are not available in UK, but i was lucky to find mine in TK Maxx. I have heard a great reviews about their product, so i had to try it out myself. I should say this lip gloss is nothing too crazy. It does not last on the lips for very long time, so if you are on a hunt for long lasting lip product, this is not for you. But if you are a lip gloss girl or if you like just a tiny pop of colour on your lips, you would love this one. It is great for every day and for any occasions. Even worn with a smokey eyes for a night out it will look gorgeous. It has a strong vanilla scent, which i really like. It also gives you very cooling feeling on your lips and the cooling effect lasts quite a long time, which i think it is awesome. It suppose to plump up lips and make them look fuller, which i can slightly notice after i apply it, but nothing too major ( may be with darker colour the plump up effect will be more visible ). It is just an awesome every day lip product…
STILA Stay All Day Vinyl Lip Gloss is by far my favourite red lip gloss. For my “bold lip” days i have been using this 04 Scarlet vinyl. It is dark red with blue undertone. I say dark, but it is not one of those vamp shades, which are more night time appropriate… it is very nice shade of red and i have been using it day and night. It has a very high shine finish and what i like to do sometimes is to blot it with a tissue. This way the tissue absorbs the top layer (which is the shine ) and it leaves a stain effect on my lips. I like to do this mainly day time and for a night out i have been definitely enjoying the gloss finish on my lips. Scarlet 04 is very long lasting and it feels very comfortable on the lips. The dolph applicator is amazing…It is tapered at the end and this gives you easier and more precise application.
Nails: Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Polish in Pit Stop 6 is my go-to nail polish. It is affordable, opaque, drys quickly and this particular shade is gorgeous. What else would you want from a nail polish, right? 🙂 It is a pale pastel lilac with a hint of gray. It is suitable for all seasons and all skin tones. Applied with my Seche Vite on top, it lasts good 2-3 days. Barry M nail polishes are one of my favourite. For £3.99 ( most of the times they are on offer) you can’t go wrong!
I would love to know your top beauty products you have discovered in the last month…
